Pepper, Sausage and Onion Frittata


INGREDIENTS:

1 pound of flavored sausage
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 cup of sliced onion
1/2 cup of red pepper thinly sliced
1/2 cup of yellow pepper thinly sliced

2 cloves of garlic-chopped
1 tablespoon of chopped basil
2 tablespoons of grated Romano cheese
10 eggs--5 yolks
salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a 10-inch non-stick oven proof pan, brown sausage, remove and cut into slices.
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil in same pan--saute onions, peppers, add garlic and sausage slices.
Saute 5 minutes, add chopped basil.

Whisk eggs and grated cheese--blend well.
Pour over sausage and peppers.  
Cover and cook over low heat until set--7-8 minutes.
remove lid and place pan in a 400 degree oven until golden brown-7 minutes.

Remove and carefully slide frittata onto a large platter!

Putting in a bit of veggies into their meals will create a balanced meal good for your child's health.

Chicken Katsu is a Japanese style fried chicken that is great with rice and some veggies on the side. Many kids enjoy this particular dish because it is easy to eat like chicken nuggets or fillet. Here is an easy recipe for Chicken Katsu with Yasai Itame or stir-fried vegetables that will be different yet healthier and delicious for your kids.

Ingredients:
- 4 pieces or 5 lbs. of skinless chicken breast fillet
- garlic powder
- flour
- 2 eggs
- Japanese breadcrumbs
- oil for frying
- salt and pepper

For the Yasai Itame:
1 sliced medium onion
1 red bell pepper cut into strips
100 grams beansprouts
500 grams Julienned carrots
1 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons oil

Cooking Directions:

1. For the Chicken:
- Lightly pound the chicken breast fillet with a mallet to flatten. Cover the chicken with a plastic wrap while you pound the chicken. Flatten to about 4 x 3 inches.
- Season the chicken on both sides with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Beat 2 eggs in a bowl. Prepare the flour in a separate container. Prepare breadcrumbs in a separate container as well.

- Using a kitchen thong, coat each piece of flattened chicken with flour, dip in eggs, and coat again with breadcrumbs. Make sure that the chicken is fully coated with the breadcrumbs.
- In a frying pan, heat oil and fry each piece of chicken in medium heat until golden brown.

2. For the Yasai Itame:
- In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Combine all ingredients and stir-fry until ingredients are soft and tender. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Finishing Touches: Using a knife, cut the chicken into strips. Serve with steaming hot rice, Yasai Itame, and add store-brought Tonkatsu Sauce or ketchup for some flavoring.

If you prefer other meat like pork or beef, you can simply replace the chicken with the meat of your choice and follow the same steps. Fish is also a healthier choice.

This recipe will only take a couple of minutes of your time and will be even more enjoyable when you include your kids in the preparation. They can help in coating the chicken, setting the table, and mixing some orange juice, iced tea or lemonade that will go well with this meal. Makes 6 skewers
Takes 10 minutes to prepare, 2 hours to marinade and 20 minutes to cook

 

Ingredients

1 garlic clove, crushed
18 whole pitted black olives
100ml (3fl oz) olive oil
400g (l4oz) haloumi cheese
3 large tomatoes
6 new potatoes
2 large courgettes
1 red onion
1 aubergine
6 kebab skewers
Pitta bread to serve

Method

 
1. Blend (or chop finely) the garlic, olives and olive oil together to form a marinade.

2. Cut the cheese into 2.5cm (1in) cubes.

3. Cut tomatoes into four and remove the seeds. Cut potatoes in half lengthways, boil until tender and drain.

4. Chop the remaining vegetables into 2.5cm (1in) cubes and thread them onto skewers with the potatoes and tomatoes.

5. Marinade the kebabs for two hours. Prepare barbecue for cooking if not using grill.

6. Cook over barbecue or grill until tender, turning after two minutes on each side, and serve immediately in pitta bread.

Ingredients

500g organic lamb mince
1 tbsp Moroccan spice mix (we used Schwartz)
1 spring onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander, plus extra for the salad
4 tbsp apricot jam, warmed
3 tbsp houmous
150g natural yogurt
Warm pittas, to serve (we used Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Mixed Olive Pittas)
Salad and sliced red onion, to serve

Method

1. Preheat the grill to medium-hot. Soak 8 wooden skewers in water.

2. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the mince, spice mix, spring onion and the coriander. Season. Shape into 32 balls and thread 4 onto each skewer. Grill or barbecue for 10-15 minutes, turning, until cooked. Just before they are ready, brush with the jam.

3. Mix the houmous and yogurt in a bowl. Season. Accompany the kebabs with pittas, salad, sliced red onion sprinkled with coriander and the houmous dressing.

  • Chopped green tomatoes, 1 pound
  • Chicken broth, cup

  • Extra virgin oil, 1 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Water, 1 cup
This green tomato soup recipe will warm you up on cold winter days. Heat oil in a saucepan, add ham, stir until lightly browned. Add scallions, ginger and garlic, and cook until an aroma begins to waft. Add green tomatoes, chicken broth, water, salt and pepper, bring it to a boil, and let it simmer, until the tomatoes are tender. Season soup with salt and pepper. Serve hot.

Green Tomato Salsa

Ingredients
  • Green tomatoes, pound
  • Coarsely chopped red tomato, 1
  • Thickly sliced onions, 1
  • Fresh lime juice, 1 tbsp
  • Extra virgin olive oil, 1 tbsp
  • Chopped cilantro, 1 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Thinly slice tomatoes, sprinkle salt. Set aside and cover for 5-6 hours. In a sauce pan, boil together sugar and pickling vinegar, until sugar dissolves. Add in the apples, simmer for 10-15 minutes. Spoon in the salted tomatoes and onion, simmer for an hour, until the mixture becomes pulpy. Remove from heat, spoon into clean air tight jars.

How to Make Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies


Peanut butter blossoms are also called peanut butter kiss cookies and Hershey kiss cookies. The cookie is made out of peanut butter which is a smooth paste made from roasted peanuts. Peanut Butter Blossoms Recipe

Baking peanut butter kisses are quite easy as they require very less ingredients and can be prepared quickly.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • cup sugar
  • teaspoon salt
  • cup smooth peanut butter
  • cup demerara sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 5 dozen Hershey's kisses
Method

Using an electric mixer, whisk together the butter, sugar, peanut butter and demerara sugar until it is thoroughly combined. Now add the egg and milk and whisk again. Slit the vanilla bean half length wise and scrap out its inner gooey portion and add to the egg and butter mixture.

Sift the all-purpose flour with the baking soda and salt and gradually add this to the electric mixer, mixing thoroughly. Add a bit more milk if you find the mixture too dry. Remove the mixture into a chopping board and work the dough with your hand until you get a smooth consistency. Refrigerate the cookie dough for about and hour to let it set. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and grease it lightly with some butter. Preheat the oven to 350 C. Remove the cookie dough from the refrigerator and shape it into 1 inch small balls. Flatten the balls with the heels of your hand and place them about 2 inches apart in the baking tray. Bake them for about 6 to 7 minutes until the peanut butter blossoms are brown and cooked through. Remove from the oven immediately after it is done and lightly press a Hershey's kisses into the center of each cookie. Return them to the oven and bake for another 1 to 2 minutes.

Low Fat Peanut Butter Blossoms

This low-fat recipe calls for a chunky peanut butter that has flaxseed oil added to it to make it more nutritious. We also use Hershey's dark chocolate kisses instead of milk chocolate to get the benefits of dark chocolate. Using whole wheat pastry flour instead of regular all-purpose flour increase the fiber content of peanut butter kisses.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 24 Hershey's dark chocolate kisses
Method

In an electric mixer, beat the peanut butter, sugar and egg until it is light and fluffy. Gradually sift in the whole wheat flour and whisk all the ingredients together until it is thoroughly combined. Pull the mixture out on a clean chopping board and knead it for 2 to 3 minutes. Put this cookie dough in a small bowl and cover with a cling film. Refrigerate the cookie dough for about an hour and then roll the dough with your hands to make small balls. Preheat the oven to 350 C and grease a baking tray with vegetable oil. Place the cookies on the greased baking tray and bake in the oven for 7 to 8 minutes till they are browned. Remove tray from oven, once the cookies are done and immediately press a Hershey's dark chocolate kiss on each cookie. Allow the peanut butter blossom cookies to cool by placing them in a wire rack.

Lebanese Chicken Skewers (Shish Tahouk) with Garlic Sauce and Tabouleh recipe

Chicken Shish Tahouk

4 chicken breasts
6 crushed garlic cloves
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp sea salt
wooden skewers soaked in cold water to prevent burning

Method:

Cut the chicken into thin strips. Add chicken to a large non-reactive bowl along with the garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, cinnamon and sea salt. Mix well to coat the chicken. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
 

Meanwhile, prepare the garlic sauce and Tabouleh.
 

Next, skewer the chicken pieces.
 

Heat up the barbecue or a hot skillet and brush with a little olive oil. Cook chicken, until done, about 5 minutes on each side. Serve with garlic sauce and tabouleh.

Lebanese Garlic Sauce

2 garlic bulbs
1/4 cup good quality olive oil
2 tbs lemon juice
1 tsp sea salt

Method:

Peel the garlic and place cloves in a blender. Add the lemon juice and start to blend. You may from time to time have stop and push the garlic down with a spoon if it sticks to the side. Add the salt and continue to blend.
 

Add the olive oil in a slow stream while continuing to blend.The sauce should have the consistency of mayonnaise.
 

Cover and refrigerate sauce until serving time.

Tabouleh

2 bunches of parsley
2 tbs mint
1/2 cup Spanish onion
2 vine ripened tomatoes
1/2 cup bulghar wheat
1/4 to 1/2 cup olive oil
1 1/2 tsp sea salt
Juice from 1 lemon
1 cup boiling water

Method:

Place bulghar wheat in a bowl with the boiling water. Cover and let it stand for 20 minutes. Strain the bulghar wheat to drain off any excess water. Set aside.
 

Finely chop the parsley and mint. Place in a large mixing bowl.
 

De-seed the tomatoes and then dice them. Dice the Spanish onion. Place tomato and onion in the mixing bowl with the parsley and mint.
 

Add the cooled bulghar wheat to the parsley mixture. Add the lemon juice, remaining salt and olive oil. Mix thoroughly with a fork to combine ingredients.
 

Cover and refrigerate until serving.

Lamb Kofta with Herbed Tzatziki Recipe

Serves 4
 

Ingredients:

1 large onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1kg (2.2 pounds) lamb mince (you can find lamb mince at any Woolworths or ask your butcher very nicely to mince a leg of lamb for you)
2tbsn each freshly chopped mint and parsley
1tsbn freshly chopped oregano (you can also use 2tsp dried)
2tsp ground coriander
1tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp each nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves
salt & pepper to taste
1 egg

Pita breads, toasted, to serve
Chunky Tzatziki to serve


Preparation:


Pre-heat the oven to 200°c.
 

Fry the onion and garlic in a bit of olive oil until soft and translucent (about 5-7 minutes).
 

Combine the lamb mince with all the herbs and spices in a large bowl and add the cooked onion and garlic. Add the egg and mix well. At this point you can cover the bowl and refrigerate or form the Koftas immediately.
 

Form the lamb mixture into koftas (oval shaped meatballs) and place on a sheet of wax paper.
 

Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan and brown the koftas for 2 minutes per side. I like to serve my Koftas on kebab sticks so at this point I skewer them onto bamboo skewers and then place them on the baking tray. Place on a baking tray and place in the oven for 10-15 minutes until they are cooked.
 

Serve the koftas with toasted pita breads and the chunky tzatziki.

3. In a separate bowl, mix a little cold water into the flour. Combine into a smooth paste.

4. Heat the chicken broth and milk in a pan. Add flour paste to the liquid; seasoning with salt and pepper. Slowly add in parsley. Keep stirring and cooking till the mixture thickens and boils.

5. Pour a thin layer of tomato mixture into a lasagna baking dish. Top with a layer of lasagna noodles and add a layer of chicken; sprinkling some mozzarella on top. Add a layer of chicken broth white sauce, topping with another layer of lasagna, more tomato sauce, another layer of chicken, mozzarella cheese, and white sauce. Repeat till the last layer is remaining lasagna noodles.

6. Garnish lasagna with the grated Parmesan. Bake chicken lasagna at 375? for around 30 minutes till brown.

* ? can fat-free chicken stock (16-ounce)
* 1 egg
* 1 crushed garlic clove
* 4 ounces grated part-skim mozzarella cheese
* 1 cup low-fat ricotta cheese

* ? pound lean minced chicken
* ? package defrosted chopped spinach
* ? finely chopped onion
* ? pound sliced mushrooms
* ? teaspoon soy sauce
* ? teaspoon balsamic vinegar
* 4 ounces lasagna noodles
* Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

1. To start making your lasagna preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Brush oil at the bottom of a lasagna baking.

3. Mix ? cup of the chicken stock with the spaghetti sauce and keep aside. Whisk the egg, stir in ricotta cheese and one cup of the mozzarella. Put garlic, salt and pepper and set aside.

4. Brown the minced chicken and add salt and pepper. Cook the spinach until it is half done.

5. Fry the onion in ? cup chicken stock till it is translucent. Cook the mushrooms in the remaining ? cup of stock and add soy sauce and vinegar. Simmer until all liquid is absorbed. Mix together chicken, spinach, onions and mushrooms.

6. Put a layer of sauce in the bottom of the dish. Add one layer of the lasagna noodles followed by more sauce, 1/3 of the cheese mixture and 1/3 of the spinach/chicken mixture. Repeat until the spinach mixture and sauce are over.

7. Bake for 45 minutes, until liquid around the edges has been absorbed in the lasagna. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top and bake for 15 minutes more.

Grilled Mahi Mahi Recipes


Seafood is something I can't live without and I am sure many would nod in favor to what I say! Well, I came across this interesting dish at a housewarming party few months back. Ever since I have sunk my teeth into the grilled Mahi Mahi dish, I must say, I have found excuses for cooking the same whenever I get the chance. This makes a very delicious and interesting dish to prepare and to gorge on as well. Friends have been kind with me to share some yummy recipes. And here, I shall willingly share the same with you! Bon Apptit!

Recipe 1

Ingredients
White wine (1/2 cup)
Shallot - minced (1)
Cloves garlic (2)
Extra-virgin olive oil (1 tablespoon)
Chopped walnuts (1/3 cup)
Mahi Mahi fillets (Four 6 ounce)
Salt and ground black pepper
Butter (1 tablespoon)
Salt (1/4 teaspoon)
Fresh cilantro leaves (1/4 cup)
Shredded Parmesan cheese (2 tablespoons)
Roasted red bell peppers (One 12 ounce jar)
Ground black pepper (1/8 teaspoon)

Preparation
Begin by preheating an outdoor grill. Then, place the shallot and the wine in a saucepan kept over medium high heat. Boil this mixture and reduce the heat. Reduce the liquid to half. Once done, remove from heat and place it aside.

Meanwhile, place the walnuts, cheese and garlic in a blender. Blend it well. Then, add the cilantro and some olive oil. Sprinkle a small amount of black pepper. Now, blend the same till the mixture turns smooth. Then place the cilantro mixture aside in a separate bowl.

Now, place the red peppers in the food processor. Add the wine reduction to this and blend well till it smoothens. Once done, pour the entire mixture into the saucepan and boil it over medium high heat. Then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 4 minutes.

At the same time, use some amount of salt and pepper and season the Mahi Mahi fillets. Cook these Mahi Mahi fillets on the preheated grill till the fish turns a shade of golden brown. Cook for about 4 minutes for both sides. Meanwhile, mix together butter with 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper and teaspoon salt into the red pepper sauce. Whisk it till it smoothens and spoon this red pepper sauce on the bottom of the serving plate. Place the Mahi Mahi fish fillets over this. Use the cilantro mix prepared earlier while serving!

Ingredients
Olive oil (3/4 cup)
Soy sauce (1/4 cup)
Lime (1)
Orange (1)
Lemon (1)
Bay leaves (2)
Cloves garlic - sliced thinly (6)
Mahi Mahi fillets (4 boneless)
Bulb fennel - sliced thinly (1/2)
Red onion - sliced thinly (1/2)
Black peppercorns - toasted and crushed (12)
Ginger - peeled and sliced (One 1-inch piece)

Preparation
Take a large bowl and pour olive oil along with the soy sauce in it. Squeeze the orange juice with lemon and lime. Then add the remaining ingredients into the bowl. Mix it well. Meanwhile, you need to prepare the grill. Place the Mahi Mahi fish fillets in this marinade and place it aside for 10 minutes. You need to cover both sides of the fish in the marinade. Then, remove these fillets and grill them for 4 minutes on both sides. Serve hot!

Ingredients
  • Flour, 6 cups
  • Milk/water, 6 cups
  • Cooking oil, 8 tbsp.
  • Sugar, 4 tbsp.
  • Baking powder, 4 tsp.
  • Maple syrup, 2 tsp.
  • Butter cubes
Procedure
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, and sugar in a mixing bowl and sift.
  • Add some milk/soy milk/water. Stir till you have a smooth batter. If it is too thick, add some more water to it.
  • Place a large non-stick pan over a medium heat. Pour a some cooking oil into it.
  • Spoon a ladle full of batter into the pan. Once the pancake top has small bubbles and the edges seem cooked, flip it over.
  • Remove from heat when the pancake looks golden-brown.
  • Serve warm with maple syrup and a cube of butter.
Tip: If the pan is big enough, you can cook more than one pancake at the same time.

  • Lemon juice, cup
  • Parsley (finely chopped), cup
  • Cooking oil, 2 tbsp.
  • Salt and pepper
  • Tomato ketchup/salsa sauce/eggless mayonnaise for side dip
Procedure
  • You can start this recipe by marinating chicken slices in lemon juice overnight.
  • Place a non-stick skillet on medium heat. Pour some oil into the skillet.
  • When the oil heats, add the chopped red onions and fry them till they become golden-brown.
  • Now add the marinated chicken to the skillet. Let it cook well. You can remove or retain the excess fat from the skillet.
  • Now add the chopped tomato, carrot, and sweet corn.
  • Cook well. Season it with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat once it is done.
  • Grilling the tortillas is the best option. Turn the grill up to 400 F.
  • Baste your tortillas with some cooking oil. Now place them on the preheated grill. Grill for about half a minute on one side before flipping them over.

  • Garlic paste, 1 tsp.
  • Black pepper (ground), tsp.
  • Turmeric (optional), tsp.
  • Lemon juice, 1 tsp.
  • Salt to taste
  • Parsley (finely chopped), cup
Procedure
  • You can start by grating your slab of fresh tofu. It can also be chopped finely if you find it more convenient.
  • Take a cooking pan and place it on medium heat.
  • Pour some cooking oil into the pan and let it heat for half a minute.
  • Add the garlic paste and turmeric into the pan.
  • After cooking for about a minute, add the chopped onion and red bell peppers.
  • Make sure that the onion cooks well before adding the chopped or grated tofu. Stir well.
  • Add salt, black pepper powder, and lemon juice.
  • Cover with a lid for 10 minutes
  • Remove from heat and your scrambled tofu is ready to be served.
  • Garnish it with chopped parsley.
Tip: For the most delicate and yummy tofu, make sure to buy a firm tofu slab. Squeeze out all its water before cooking it.

Cooking Time: 25 minutes


Ingredients
  • Cream cheese spread, 8 oz.
  • Plain Bacon (finely chopped), 4 oz.
  • Cheddar cheese (grated), 4 oz.
  • Pizza crusts (prebaked variety), 4
  • Cubed ham (precooked), 1 cup
  • Onion (finely chopped), cup
  • Green pepper, cup
  • Cooking oil, 1 tbsp.
Procedure
  • You can start this procedure, by cooking the chopped bacon in a skillet. Set the skillet on medium heat. Remove from heat as soon as your bacon turns crisp. Place the cooked bacon on a plain paper to remove excess drippings.
  • Pour some cooking oil into the skillet and set on medium heat. Once the oil heats adequately, put the onions and green pepper into the skillet. Cook it adequately.
  • Preheat your oven with a temperature of 400 F.
  • Use baking sheets and place the pizza crusts on them.
  • Beat the cream cheese with a hand blender. Once it be comes smooth and soft, spread it generously on each pizza crust.
  • Top it with cooked bacon, onions, green pepper, and ham.

How To Make Vegetarian Lasagna For Everyone (rajiv tiwari)

Lasagna With Tofu

Ingredients:
* ? pound lasagna
* 2 10-ounce packages defrosted chopped spinach,
* 1 pound soft tofu
* 1 pound firm tofu
* 1 tablespoon sugar
* ? cup soymilk
* ? teaspoon garlic powder
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
* 3 tablespoons minced basil
* Salt to taste
* 32-ounce jar tomato sauce

Directions:

1. Cook lasagna noodles al dente, drain and set aside.

2. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

3. Dry the spinach as much as possible and set aside. Place the tofu, sugar, soymilk, garlic powder, lemon juice, basil and salt in a blender and mix till smooth.

4. Cover the bottom of a lasagna baking dish with a thin layer of sauce, followed by a layer of lasagna noodles. Add a layer of half the tofu and half the spinach. Continue the same way, using half the tomato sauce and noodles and the rest of the tofu mixture and spinach. The last layer should be the remaining noodles covered by the remaining tomato sauce.

5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes till the tomato sauce bubbles.

Lasagna With Pumpking And Three Cheese

Ingredients:

* 1/2 pound sliced mushrooms
* 1 chopped onion
* Salt to taste

* 2 teaspoons olive oil
* 1 can of pumpkin
* ? cup of cream
* 1 teaspoon dried sage leaves
* Pepper to taste
* 9 no-cook lasagna noodles
* 1 cup ricotta cheese
* 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
* ? cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Slightly oil a lasagna baking dish.

3. Saut? the mushrooms, onion and salt in olive oil until soft and set aside.

4. In a dish, mix the pumpkin, cream, sage, pepper and salt.

5. Spread ? cup of pumpkin sauce in the lasagna baking dish. Add three noodles and place another layer of the pumpkin sauce on top. Now add half of the mushroom and onion mixture, half of the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese and about a third of the Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers once more. Top off the lasagna with remaining noodles and sauce. You should have a third of the Parmesan cheese remaining.

6. Cover the lasagna with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

7. Uncover and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese.

8. Bake again, uncovered, for another 10 minutes.

9. Let your lasagna cool for 10 minutes before serving!

  • 1 cup, chocolate wafer crumbs

  • 1 jar marshmallow cream

  • 2 tablespoons white Crme de Cacao
  • 1container frozen whipped topping
  • 3 cups of vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 2 teaspoons chocolate syrup
Directions
  • Mix the chocolate wafer crumbs and the butter in a bowl. Stir them with a fork, till they are moist.

Making a traditional Italian pasta recipe can seem to be quite a challenging task. Knowing how to make pasta however isn't that hard at all! The best part about this pasta recipe is that you can team it up with any sauce of your choice and enjoy!

Ingredients:

* 400 grams of flour
* 4 eggs

Directions:

1. Sift the flour into a smooth, separated consistency for the pasta recipe.

2. Pour the flour in a pile and create a hole in the middle. Break the eggs and pour them in the middle.

3. Beat the eggs and the flour and keep adding more and more flour, slowly from around the mixture that you have.

4. Do this until you have smooth dough for the pasta recipe and you can add a few drops white wine for extra flavour if need be.

5. Once you have mixed the flour and egg, use your hands to knead the dough for around 15 minutes till it is smooth and elastic.

6. Keep the dough in a dish and refrigerate it for around half an hour. Your pasta recipe is almost done!

7. After half an hour, remove the dough and divide into medium sized balls. Lightly flour a flat surface and a rolling pin. Roll out the dough for the pasta recipe, making it as thin as possible.


8. Once you have the desired thickness, roll the dough into one long strip. It should be like a spiral, with the thin dough rolled into each other.

9. Cut the strip of dough into thin slices, around quarter of a centimetre.

10. Now, carefully unroll each slice so you flat strips of long pasta. Lay them on a floured flat surface making sure that it doesn't touch each other. Separated strands mean your pasta recipe is going to turn out to be just right.

11. Sprinkle a little bit of flour on top of all the strands and allow them to dry for around two hours.

12. Whenever you want to try out with a new sauce for your homemade pasta recipe, cook your noodles in salted, boiling water for around four minutes.

  • 1 cup flour
  • cup sugar
  • tsp salt
  • 1 tsp powdered cinnamon

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 chopped walnut
  • 1 ripe apple, peeled and sliced. Remove the core and seeds.
Procedure
Make it a point to preheat your oven at about 175 C. Now take a baking dish in a square or rectangular shape and grease it well. In a mixing bowl, make a batter of flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt and baking powder. Whip it to make a smooth batter without any lumps. Soften the batter by adding the suggested quantity of milk. Now pour the batter into the greased baking dish. Put the baking dish in the oven and set the timer for approximately 45 minutes. While the cake bakes, heat a clean saucepan. Make a mixture of water, butter and brown sugar in the saucepan and let it boil. Add the chopped walnut pieces and apple slices to it. Boil the mixture till it becomes thick and smooth.

Serving

  • 6 ounce bitter chocolate slab
  • 1 cup flour
  • cup brown sugar

  • 3 large eggs
  • 6 tbsp of fresh unsalted butter

  • tsp powdered cloves
  • tsp of vanilla extract
  • tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp of sugar

Procedure
Personally, I suggest that you make use of small baking molds in a variety of shapes to make the cake a visual delight. You need six such baking molds. Now grease them evenly with butter. Meanwhile, use your food grinder to grind the bitter chocolate bar, butter, flour, eggs, cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, cloves powder, salt, sugar and baking powder into a smooth batter. Pour the batter evenly into six greased baking molds. Now use tight plastic wraps to cover the molds and refrigerate them up to 5 hours. This sets the batter in the containers. Now without removing the plastic wraps, microwave the molds for approximately 90 seconds. Remove the molds from the microwave and pierce the plastic wraps to let out the excess steam. Immediately cover them to let them steam. This steaming should ideally take place in 10 minutes time. Simultaneously, start beating the cream till it forms a thick white foam. Add the sugar and continue beating the mixture till you see some soft peaks.

Serving
Remove the plastic wraps around the molds and turn the molds upside down onto 6 serving bowls. Generously cover them with whipped cream. You may garnish it with ground cinnamon and grated chocolate. Sounds yummy? It is actually irresistible!

Recipe for Pumpkin Cinnamon Pudding Cake
I have a small pumpkin patch in my backyard. I therefore, couldn't resist using some fresh pumpkins in cinnamon pudding cakes. By the way, this recipe is ideal for your Halloween party too! Like the previous recipes, this one is for 6 servings too.

Essential Ingredients
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • cup fresh butter
  • 2 tbsp butter (in separate bowl)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • cup sour cream
  • cup grated pumpkin
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • tsp salt
  • tsp dried ginger powder
  • tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1 cup boiling water
Procedure
I suggest that you start the procedure by heating the oven at 350 C. Make sure to grease your baking tray alongside with some butter or non-stick baking spray. Now take a bowl for mixing the batter. Start by mixing cup fresh butter with cup brown sugar. Use a hand blender to make the mixture fluffy. Now add the grated pumpkin, sour cream and vanilla extract to the above mixture. Use the blender to make the whole mixture fluffy. You may now add flour, salt, baking powder to the mixture. start mixing the batter vigorously with a spoon. Sprinkle 1 cup of brown sugar all over the batter. take 2 tbsp of butter and melt it in 1 cup of boiling water. Now pour this solution on top of the batter. Funny as it may sound, this method helps to create a yummy cake with delicious cinnamon sauce at the bottom of the baking tray. Now set the tray in the oven for not more than 50 minutes. Use a toothpick to ensure that the cake is thoroughly baked.

Serving
This pudding cake is to be served when it cools down. You may serve it with some fresh vanilla ice cream or with a generous helping of pumpkin sauce.
