Pistachio Cake Recipe


Cakes are the favorite dessert items of one and all and are a part of every small and big celebration. They make some of the best desserts that can be served at parties or functions. Round cakes or cupcakes, whatever may be the form, they are just delicious. Though you get ready-made cakes in the bakery, preparing a cake by yourself has its own fun and satisfaction. Moreover, since the ingredients are easily available, you also reduce much of the expenditure. Now, you have too many flavor options when you want to prepare a cake and selecting one can be a bit confusing. Pistachio cakes are some of the favorite flavors for cakes and given below are two easy recipes.

Simple Recipe

The ingredients required for this are:
  • White Cake Mix - 18 ounces
  • Instant Pistachio Pudding - 2 small package
  • Lemon-Lime Soda - 1 cup
  • Vegetable Oil - 1 cup
  • Eggs - 3
  • Walnuts (Chopped) - 1 cup
  • Cold Milk - 1 cup
  • Cream Whip - 8 ounces size
Procedure: Out of the two instant pistachio pudding, you are going to require one for the frosting over the cake. So, keep one of the packages aside. Now, take a medium-sized bowl and add white cake mix, one small package pistachio pudding, vegetable oil, lemon-lime soda and eggs and mix them properly. Beat this mixture for at least 2 minutes at a medium speed. Add the chopped walnuts into this mixture. See that walnut are chopped finely. Take a baking pan of appropriate size and apply butter to its surface. Pour the mixture into this baking pan and bake the pistachio cake for 45-50 minutes at 350. Until the cake bakes, prepare the frosting required for your pistachio cake. In a medium-sized bowl add milk, one small package of pistachio pudding and cream whip and beat the mixture for two minutes. Once the cake is baked, pour the whipped frosting over the cake and spread it systematically. Garnish the cake with your favorite topping. You can use finely chopped pistachios, grate some chocolate bar, mint leaves, etc. Keep the cake in the refrigerator for half an hour before cutting it.

Recipe with Jello

The ingredients required for this jello-pistachio cake recipe are:
  • Instant Jello pistachio pudding mix - 1 package
  • Yellow cake mix - 1 package
  • Almond Extract - Half teaspoon
  • Eggs - 4
  • Water - 1 cups
  • Oil - cup
  • Green food coloring - 7 drops
Procedure: In a medium-sized bowl, add all the above listed ingredients. With the help of an electric blender, blend the mixture for at least 2 minutes. Take a baking pan and grease with butter. Pour the blended mixture into the baking pan and bake the cake for 50-55 minutes at 350. Once the cake is baked leave it to cool for 15-20 minutes and serve it with your favorite frosting. The food coloring used in this cake recipe is optional.

Ingredients

1 tin NESTLÉ® Sweetened Condensed Milk or 397 g

1½ cups dried dates or 300 g, pitted and chopped

1 cup water or 250 ml

¼ teaspoon baking soda

½ cup butter or 100 g, chopped

1/3 cup caster sugar or 70 g

2 eggs, kept at room temperature

1¼ cups white self-raising flour or 175 g

2 teaspoons vanilla powder

Preparation

Place NESTLÉ® Sweetened Condensed Milk , dates and water in a large sauce pan. Bring to boil and cook on low heat stirring for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda. The mixture will become like foam, and then set aside to cool.

In another bowl, mix the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Gently mix in the flour and vanilla powder, and then stir in the date mixture.

Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured baking tin. Bake in a 175°C preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.

1 cup date paste or 200 g

3 eggs

1 tin NESTLÉ® Sweetened Condensed Milk or 397 g

¾ cup butter or 150 g, softened

1½ cups plain flour or 210 g

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla powder

Preparation

Combine date paste, eggs, NESTLÉ® Sweetened Condensed Milk , butter, flour, baking powder and vanilla in a bowl of electric mixer.

Beat on low speed until ingredients are combined, then beat on medium speed for 4-5 minutes or until mixture is smooth and changes color.

Spread mixture into a greased baking tin 24cm. Bake in a 170°C preheated oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown.

Healthy Finger Foods for Babies


When it comes to baby food, it is always better to be careful and prepared. Once your baby shows signs of grabbing a spoon or some food off the plate, you can safely assume that he or she is ready to eat some finger foods. They are easy to make, and easy to eat too. They provide nutrition to the little ones and are also fun. Check out the ideas given below, and you can decide which ones you can start off with for your child.

Fruits
Banana pieces cut up into slices or dices.
Kiwi fruit, diced into small pieces.
Boiled or baked apple, with a little powdered sugar or some salt sprinkled on it.
Make cubes out of melon, and sprinkle some sugar on them.
Strawberries, cut or diced, and with a little cream or milk.
Peaches, ripe and soft ones, diced or cut into small pieces.
Avocado, diced or cubed.
Blueberries can be squished and served with a little cream.
Soft dry fruits like raisins, dried peaches, etc.
Cherries, after the seeds have been removed.
Seedless grapes, washed and cleaned well.
Plums, after removing the seeds.

Ingredients 


200g frozen sliced peppers
3 garlic cloves , crushed
200g extra-lean minced beef
100g red lentils
2 tsp dried oregano , plus extra for sprinkling
500ml carton passata
1 aubergine , sliced into 1.5cm rounds
4 tomatoes , sliced into 1cm rounds
2 tsp olive oil
25g Parmesan , finely grated
170g pot 0% fat Greek yogurt
freshly grated nutmeg

Method

Cook the peppers gently in a large non-stick pan for about 5 mins - the water from them should stop them sticking. Add the garlic and cook for 1 min more, then add the beef, breaking up with a fork, and cook until brown. Tip in the lentils, half the oregano, the passata and a splash of water. Simmer for 15-20 mins until the lentils are tender, adding more water if you need to.
 

Meanwhile, heat the grill to Medium. Arrange the aubergine and tomato slices on a non-stick baking tray and brush with the oil. Sprinkle with the remaining oregano and some seasoning, then grill for 1-2 mins each side until lightly charred - you may need to do this in batches.
 

Mix half the Parmesan with the yogurt and some seasoning. Divide the beef mixture between 4 small ovenproof dishes and top with the sliced aubergine and tomato. Spoon over the yogurt topping and sprinkle with the extra oregano, Parmesan and nutmeg. Grill for 3-4 mins until bubbling. Serve with a salad, if you like.

A light and healthy, but rich-tasting Greek-style dish

Ingredients


2½ tbsp olive oil
1 onion , chopped
2 plump garlic cloves , finely chopped
2 large carrots (350g total weight), diced
450g 5% fat minced beef
100ml white wine
1 tsp ground cinnamon , plus extra
¼ tsp ground allspice
400g can plum tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato purée
1 heaped tbsp chopped oregano leaves
2 good handfuls chopped flat-leaf parsley , plus extra to garnish
3 aubergines (about 750g/1lb 10oz total weight), ends trimmed
1 tbsp lemon juice

FOR THE TOPPING

2 eggs
1 tbsp cornflour
300g 2% Greek yogurt
50g Parmesan , grated

TO SERVE

halved cherry tomatoes and thinly sliced red onion and rocket salad

Method


Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large, wide sauté pan. Tip in the onion and garlic, then fry for 6-8 mins until turning golden. Add the carrots and fry for 2 mins more. Stir the meat into the pan, breaking it up as you stir. Cook and stir over a high heat until the meat is no longer pink. Pour in the wine and briefly cook until most of the liquid has evaporated. Stir in the cinnamon and allspice. Tip in the tomatoes, tomato purée and 1 tbsp water (mixed with any juices left in the can), then stir to break up the tomatoes. Season with some pepper, add all the oregano and half the parsley, cover, then simmer on a low heat for 50 mins, stirring occasionally. Season to taste. Mix in the remaining parsley. Can be done a day ahead and refrigerated overnight.

While the meat cooks (unless you are doing this a day ahead) prepare the aubergines. Heat oven to 200C/fan 180C/ gas 6. Brush a little of the remaining oil onto 2 large baking sheets. Mix the rest of the oil with the lemon juice. Slice the aubergines into 1cm thick lengthways slices, then lay them on the oiled baking sheets. Brush with the oil and lemon mix, then season with pepper. Bake for 20-25 mins until soft, then set aside. Lower oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4.

Spread 2 big spoonfuls of the meat mixture on the bottom of an ovenproof dish (about 28 x 20 x 6cm deep). Lay the aubergine slices on top, slightly overlapping. Spoon the rest of the meat mixture on top. Beat the eggs in a bowl. Slacken the cornflour with a little of the yogurt, stir in the rest of the yogurt, then mix this into the eggs with half the cheese. Season with pepper. Pour and spread this over the meat to cover it. Sprinkle with the rest of the cheese, a little cinnamon and a grating of pepper. Bake for 50 mins-1 hr until bubbling and golden.

Leave moussaka to settle for 8-10 mins, then scatter over some chopped parsley and cut into squares. Serve with a salad of tomato, red onion and rocket.

MAKING IT HEALTHIER

A serving of classic moussaka contains 820 kcals, 58g fat (24g of which is sat fat) and 1.06g salt. My version contains 325 kcals, 15g fat (5g sat fat) and 0.65g salt.

How To Bake a Potato in the Microwave


A piping hot baked potato topped with delicious cream and chives is a real tasty treat, especially when the potatoes are cooked just right. Of course we got perfectly baked potatoes even before the advent of a microwave, but the process of cooking it in a regular oven was a painstaking one with you having to cook the potato for an hour. However, with the use of a microwave, baked potatoes can not only be made in a jiffy but they taste wonderful as well. In just around ten minutes, you get a mouth-watering baked potato which you can top up with wonderful sour cream and bacon or create the topping of your choice.

Easy Steps to Help You Bake a Potato in the Microwave

Step 1: Wash the potato under running water and scrub it with a brush to remove the dirt and grime. Pat dry with a soft towel. Now using a fork, puncture holes in the potato to avoid the potato from exploding with all the steam trapped in it.

Step 2: Rub on some olive oil on the potato to make the skin nice and crispy. Place the potatoes in a microwave dish and then cook the potato for around seven minutes. If there are two large sized potatoes, then you might have to time the microwave to around eleven minutes or so.

Step 3: Once the beeper goes off, take out the dish and use a knife to check if the potato is cooked. If the knife slides in then the potato is cooked. Now slice the top of the potato with a knife and place a paper towel over it. Using your fist, bash the potato and gently squeeze it open.

Step 4: Now top your baked potatoes with delicious cheese and cream. You can also garnish it with ingredients such as butter, parsley, green onions or chives, sour cream, cheese, bacon. One of my favorite baked potato toppings was scrambled eggs and chili.

Microwave Baked Potato Recipes

Cheese and Baked Potato Dish

Ingredients
  • 8 lbs. low fat cheese
  • 3 lbs. plain yogurt
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 7-8 chopped green onions
  • 1 cup dill weed
  • 2 potatoes for baking
Preparation

Once the potatoes are baked to perfection, slice it and squeeze it open. Now in a large bowl, combine the cheese, yogurt and lemon juice and add the dill and the onions to it. Cover this topping and refrigerate till you are ready to serve. Serve the baked potatoes by pouring in around 2 oz. of topping.

Healthy Broccoli and Baked Potato Dish

Ingredients
  • 2 potatoes for baking
  • 2 cups of steamed broccoli
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of salsa sauce
  • 1 cup of grated carrots
  • Ground pepper (optional)
Preparation

For making this amazing potato recipe, microwave the potatoes till they are cooked and are hot at the center. Cut a slit and press the ends to break the potato. Now slowly mash the pulp a bit with a fork. Spoon the broccoli into the baked potatoes and add in the cream, cheese, salsa and carrots. Sprinkle some ground pepper for taste.

Ingredients
  • 1 tbs baking powder
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbs vanilla
  • tsp cinnamon

  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and shredded
  • cup melted butter
  • 2 cups flour
Process

Take a large mixing bowl and beat eggs into it until creamy. Add milk, vanilla and melted butter to the eggs and beat well, set aside. Take another bowl and sift baking powder, flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon into it. Now add the egg mixture to this mixture and blend well. Add in shredded apple and bake in the waffle iron or waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Breakfast Burritos
If you get bored with the usual breakfast, you can try something different, like breakfast burritos. This dish belongs to Mexican cuisine, it is nothing but a filling wrapped in a tortilla. So you can carry burritos with you if you are in a hurry. The filling can be made of various things, however, sausage and eggs are the commonly used stuffing.

Ingredients
  • 6 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican-flavor cheese blend
  • 8 ounce(s) uncooked spicy breakfast sausages, casings removed
  • 1 large sweet potato, peeled
  • 4 10-inch flour tortillas
  • red onion, chopped
Process

Dice sweet potatoes into small pieces and set aside. Take a non-stick skillet, melt butter in it and add onion along with diced sweet potato. Cook until the potatoes are tender, stir frequently. When done, remove from heat and pour into a bowl. Now add sausages to the pan, stir to break them into small pieces. When done, put the sausages on paper towels to drain excess grease. Ingredients


500g pack lean minced beef
1 large aubergine
150g pot 0% Greek yogurt
1 egg , beaten
3 tbsp parmesan , finely grated
400g can chopped tomatoes with garlic and herbs
4 tbsp sun-dried tomato purée
400g leftover boiled potatoes (or 350g/12oz uncooked weight boiled)

Method


Heat the grill to high. Brown the beef in a deep ovenproof frying pan over a high heat for 5 mins. Meanwhile, prick the aubergine with a fork, then microwave on High for 3-5 mins until soft. Mix the yogurt, egg and parmesan together, then add a little seasoning.
 

Stir the tomatoes, purée and potatoes in with the beef with some seasoning and heat through. Smooth the surface of the beef mixture with the back of a spoon, then slice the cooked aubergine and arrange on top. Pour the yogurt mixture over the aubergines, smooth out evenly, then grill until the topping has set and turned golden.

Making it perfect

Softening the aubergine in the microwave cuts down the amount of oil that's usually soaked up when frying the aubergine for this dish. Remember to prick holes in it first so that it doesn't explode!

2 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion , finely chopped
2 garlic cloves , finely chopped
500g minced lamb
400g/14oz can chopped plum tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato purée
2 tsp ground cinnamon
200g/7oz jar chargrilled aubergines in olive oil, drained and chopped
200g/7oz pack feta cheese , crumbled
3 tbsp fresh mint , chopped

Method

Brown the mince: Heat the oil in a large, shallow pan. Toss in the onion and garlic and fry until soft. Add the mince and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until browned.
Season and simmer: Tip the tomatoes into the pan and stir in the tomato purée and cinnamon, then season generously with salt and pepper. Leave the mince to simmer for 20 minutes, adding the aubergines half way through.

To serve:
Sprinkle the crumbled feta and chopped mint over the mince. Bring the moussaka to the table as the feta melts and serve it with a crunchy green salad and toasted pitta.

There’s a great debate among cooks from the Middle East about the ratio of bulgur to parsley in a tabbouleh. Some say it should be at least 8 parts parsley to 1 part bulgur. In this version, I’ve used a bit more bulgur. The California hook in this salad is the sweet and caramelized roasted tomatoes. They’re a perfect foil for the lemony-herby tabbouleh.

Ingredients:

For the tomatoes:

3 lb. ripe medium tomatoes, halved and gently seeded
3 Tbs. olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

For the salad:

1/3 cup fine bulgur wheat
1/3 cup rich vegetable stock, chicken stock, or water, heated to boiling
1/4 cup olive oil
1-1/2 cups finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh mint
2 Tbs. minced scallion (white and green parts)
1 Tbs. finely minced garlic
3 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
2 tsp. finely grated lemon zest

For the garnish:

1/4 cup toasted pine nuts
Fresh mint sprigs

Preparation:

To roast the tomatoes— Heat the oven to 350°F. Coat the tomato halves with the olive oil, season them lightly with salt and pepper, and arrange them, cut side down, on a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet. Roast for about 2-1/2 hours. The tomatoes should be very concentrated and browned, and most of their juices will have cooked off. (The tomatoes can be cooked a day or two ahead and refrigerated; before serving, bring to room temperature.)

To make the salad— In a bowl, combine the bulgur, boiling stock, and half the olive oil; cover and let stand for at least 30 minutes. Uncover and fluff with a fork. Stir in the remaining olive oil, the parsley, mint, scallion, garlic, lemon juice, and zest. Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.

To serve— Mound the tabbouleh in the middle of each plate and arrange the roasted tomatoes around the tabbouleh. Garnish with the pine nuts and sprigs of mint.

2 cups milk, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup white sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 3 tablespoon cornstarch, 1 tablespoon butter
Recipe:
Heat milk in medium saucepan over medium flame till bubbles form at edges. Take sugar, cornstarch, salt and little cold milk (approx 2 tbsp) in a bowl and mix well. Pour this mixture into hot milk with continuous stirring, so lumps don't form. Continue stirring and cooking until mixture thickens well. Do not boil. Now stir in vanilla extract and butter. Pour into serving dishes and chill it before you serve. Garnish with your favorite toppings like chocolate shavings, M&M candies, fruits, or more and serve.

2.) Chocolate - Vanilla Pudding

Ingredients:
1 cup finely chopped pecans, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup butter (melted), 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, 1 container (16 ounce) frozen whipped topping (thawed and divided), 3 cups milk, 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix, 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix, 2 (1.45 ounce) bars milk chocolate with crispy rice, crumbled

Recipe:
Preheat oven to 200 degree Celsius. Combine flour, pecans and butter in a medium bowl. Put the mixture in medium sauce pan and bake it for 25 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool. Beat together cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl until it gets smooth. Fold in half of whipped topping and spread it over the cooled crust. In a large bowl combine milk and both vanilla and chocolate pudding mix. Beat until thick. Pour the mixture over cream cheese layer. Top it with remaining whipped toppings and sprinkle crushed chocolate bars over it. Your fantastic treat is ready!!!

3.) Mango & Vanilla Custard Verrines

Ingredients:
1 cup Milk, 1 tbsp Vanilla Custard powder (or substitute with 1 tbsp corflour and 1 tsp vanilla essence), 3 tsp Sugar (Adjust sweetness according to your taste), 1/2 cup Thick undiluted mango pulp, 1 tbsp chopped Cherries for garnishing (optional)
Recipe:
Mix custard powder in 1/4 cup milk and keep aside. Heat left over milk with sugar till it boil's and add custard powder milk mixture to it. Stir continuously until it thickens and see no lumps are formed. When the mixture starts bubbling and looks thickened, allow it to cool down. To assemble the verrines in a glass add a tbsp of prepared vanilla custard alternating it with a tbsp of mango pulp till it reaches the brim. Garnish it with chopped cherries on top, refrigerate an hr at-least and serve chilled.

  • Orange peel (grated), 1 tsp

  • Orange juice, 4 tbsp
Method

Cream the butter and then add cinnamon powder to it. Add self-rising flour slowly to the mixture. Then, add all the grated ingredients and egg slowly and one by one. Mix properly and finally add orange juice. Mix the mixture well so that all the ingredients are blended properly. Then, pour the mixture into a greased oven dish and bake it in a preheated oven for 1 hour 15 minutes depending on your oven heat at 350 degrees.

Ingredients
  • Softened cream cheese, 16 oz
  • Non-sweet chocolate squares, 2
  • Sugar substitute, cup
  • Vanilla essence, tsp
  • Pecans (silvered), cup
Method

Cream the cream cheese which has been softened previously in a bowl, then add pecans, chocolate squares which have been melted and cooled sufficiently. Add vanilla essence and sugar substitute and blend thoroughly. Pour the mixture into an oven dish or any other flat dish lined with foil and refrigerate it. Cut it into 1-inch squares and serve chilled after 10 - 12 hours of refrigeration.
Cherry BarsCherry Bars

Ingredients
  • Cherries (deseeded), 16 oz
  • Non-sweet chocolate cake mix, 8 oz
  • Sugar substitute of your choice, 2 tbsp
Method

Drain all the water from the cherries and keep it aside. Whisk together the cake mix, cherries and sugar substitute in a bowl, so that the mixture gets thoroughly mixed. Pour the mixture into a well-greased oven-proof cake dish and bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
Wheat CookiesWheat Cookies

Ingredients
  • Any cooking oil, cup
  • Brown sugar substitute, 200 grams
  • Egg, 1
  • Wheat flake cereal, 1 cup
  • All-purpose flour, cup
  • Wheat flour, cup
  • Baking powder, tsp
  • Wheat germ, 2 tsp
  • Raisins, cup
  • Baking soda, tsp
Method
Chop the raisins and keep aside. Then take a bowl and start adding the ingredients one after the other and mix thoroughly. Mix the baking soda in little water and add to the mixture in the end. As small bubbles start to form, stir the mixture well, to blend it properly. Pour it in small lumps on a greased cookie sheet and flatten them. Bake in an oven, which has been set at 350 degrees F for 8-12 minutes.

Vegetarian Thai Coconut Soup
Generally, Thai coconut soup uses chicken, but for all the vegetarians, here's an amazing vegetarian soup recipe that tastes just the same. For cooking this soup you can refer to the steps below.

Ingredients:
  • Vegetable broth (water, salt, sugar, kaffir lime leaves, ginger and chilli sauce mixed, boiled and strained), 3 cups
  • Red onion, 1 (sliced)
  • Garlic cloves, 6 (minced)
  • Olive oil, 2 tbsp
  • Coconut milk, 2 cans (12 ounce each)
  • Shiitake mushrooms, 2 cups
  • Galangal/ginger, 10-12 slices
  • Carrots, 2 (thinly sliced)
  • Lemongrass, 1 inch, 10 - 12
  • Red chili pepper, 4
  • Tofu, chopped (cubes), 16 ounce
  • Lemon, 1
  • Cilantro, 4 tbsp
Directions:
  • Prepare the vegetable broth beforehand, as indicated.
  • Use a big soup pot and take the onions, mushrooms, garlic and carrots and saut them in the olive oil for a bit, till they get a reddish tinge.
  • Then, add the broth, coconut milk, chili pepper, lemongrass, tofu and squeeze the juice of the lemon into the mixture.
  • Keep this mixture on a low flame till it begins to simmer (approximately 20 - 25 minutes).
  • Stir regularly to remove any lumps that may form in the broth.
  • Before serving, add the fresh cilantro.
This recipe has used tofu as a substitute for chicken. You can also use other vegetables instead.

Thai Coconut Soup With Chicken
The soup with chicken is the traditional soup. So here we go, with the authentic Thai recipethat will serve four.

Ingredients:
  • Chicken stock, 17 ounce
  • Coconut milk, 17 ounce can
  • Galangal or ginger, 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Lemongrass, 5 - 6
  • Kaffir lime leaves, 2
  • Green/red chillies, 2-3 (or as per your requirement)
  • Fish sauce, 4 tbsp
  • Sugar, 1 tbsp
  • Chicken (breast, cubed)
  • Lemon, 1
  • Coriander, for garnishing
Directions:
  • Take a saucepan and put the lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, chicken stock, ginger and coconut milk in it.
  • Let it simmer for around 6 - 7 minutes.
  • Then add the remaining ingredients except for the lemon.
  • Cook the mixture for about 10 minutes.
  • Stir it at regular intervals as the mixture may have a tendency of forming lumps at places.
  • Once the soup begins boiling, turn off the flame, pour it in bowls, garnish it with fresh coriander and serve with Thai fried rice!
You can enhance the flavor of the soup by adding any other ingredient that you wish. For instance, you can use jalapeos instead of chillies. Or use chili flakes and oregano for garnishing instead of cilantro. For a perfect serving arrangement, use dark bowls (since the soup has a light color), matching soup spoons and napkins. And serve the soup before a meal or serve it with rice. If serving with rice, place a couple of mint leaves on the plain white rice to make it look picture perfect!
