Portuguese Soup
Ingredients
- Small Cabbage - 1
 - Kale - 1 Bunch
 - Red Kidney Beans - 1 Can
 - Mexican Chorizo - 1 lb
 - Potatoes - 10
 - Beef Bone - 1
 - Salt & Pepper - To Taste
 
- Wash the potatoes. Peel and cube them.
 - Cut the kale into small pieces.
 - Peel the cabbage and rip each leaf into three to four pieces.
 - Fill water in a medium-sized stock pot and bring it to boil. Add the meat bone and Chorizo along with salt and pepper and boil for half hour.
 - Now add the cabbage, kale, potatoes and beans.
 - Boil until all the ingredients are cooked.
 - Serve warm with bread.
 
Ingredients
- Large Chicken Breasts - 6
 - Halved Onion - 1
 - Chopped Carrots - Cup
 - Whole Potatoes - 4
 - Crushed Garlic - 1 Teaspoon
 - Garlic Powder - 1 Pinch
 - Hot Chopped Peppers - 1 Tablespoon
 - White Vinegar - Cup
 - Sazon Gova - 1 Packet
 - Cheese - 2
 - Margarine Stick -
 - Water - 2.5 Cups
 
- Place the chicken breasts, carrots and potatoes on a roasting pan.
 - Mix all the other ingredients together and pour it over the contents in the roast pan.
 - Cover the pan and cook at 375 degrees for about 90 minutes till the chickens and the potatoes are cooked.
 
Ingredients
- Pork - 2 lbs
 - Clams - 2 lbs
 - Cooking Oil - 2 Tablespoons
 - Flour - 2 Teaspoons
 - Sliced Onions - 2
 - White Wine - 1 Cup
 - Peeled Tomatoes - 2
 - Tomato Paste - 2 Teaspoon
 - Chopped Garlic - 1 Teaspoon
 - Laurel Leaf - 1
 - Salt & Pepper - To Taste
 
- Wash the clams in a large bowl and drain the water. Fill the bowl with salted water and leave the clams in to for sometime.
 - Slice the peeled tomatoes into quarters. Remove the seeds and then cut them into cubes of about half-inch.
 - Cut the pork into big cubes and sprinkle the flour on it.
 - Saute the pork cubes in cooking oil for about 3 minutes in a pressure cooker.
 - Add the sliced onions and cook for a couple more minutes.
 - Now add wine, tomato paste, tomato cubes, chopped garlic, laurel leaf and salt and pepper. Add a little less salt as the clams will add a little saltines.
 - Heat until the wine starts boiling and then close the pressure cooker. Cook for 45 minutes.
 - Drain the clams and add them to the stew in the cooker.
 - Without replacing the cover, cook the clams in the stew for a few minutes until they open up.
 - Serve hot with steamed rice.

- Dried Kidney Beans - 2 Cups
 - Chopped Onion - 1
 - Mashed Garlic - 3 Cloves
 - Cooking Oil - 1 Teaspoon
 - Ground Chuck - 2 lbs
 - Tomato Paste - 1 Can
 - Cloves - Teaspoon
 - Chili Powder - 1 Tablespoon
 - Hot Red Pepper - 1
 - Salt & Pepper - To Taste
 
- Soak the beans overnight and then cook until they are tender.
 - In a pan saut the onion and garlic until they are brown in color. Add the ground chuck and fry further till it turns brown.
 - Add the tomato paste, chili powder, salt and pepper along with the whole red pepper.
 - Heat the paste for 15 minutes.
 - Add the beans and cook further for half hour.
 - Serve with fresh Portuguese bread.
