Making Cupcake from Scratch
The following is the basic or the easiest recipe.

Ingredients
  • 5 oz of softened butter
  • 6 oz of self-raising flour
  • 5 oz of superfine sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavor / vanilla extract
Method of Preparation
  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat lightly with a beater.
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and beat together with the help of a mixer for 2-3 minutes until homogeneous.
  3. Now heat the oven to 350F.
  4. Take cupcake case and pour the mixture in it. Place the tray of case into oven and bake for around 20 minutes.
  5. The cakes should rise and be firm, golden brown in color.
  6. Now, take out the cupcakes from the oven and put them to dry.
  7. Your basic cupcakes are ready to eat!
Icing / Frosting Recipe
The following is an easy recipe for making cupcake frosting meant for decoration.

Ingredients
  • 75 grams of butter
  • 150 grams of icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavor / vanilla extract
  • Food colors of your choice
  • Decoration like hundreds and thousands sprinkles, silver balls used for cakes, M&M's, etc.
Method of Preparation
  1. Beat the butter in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Now sift icing sugar in the butter and the same time stir the butter. Add milk and vanilla flavor / extract to it until creamy.
  3. Once the smooth cream is formed, add your preferred or favorite food color to it and mix together.
  4. Now, decorate your cupcakes in different patterns using icing pen. You can also add other decoration like hundreds and thousands sprinkles or silver balls. Then keep the cupcakes to set or refrigerate them.
  5. In about 20-30 minutes, the cakes will be set and ready-to-eat!
Jam Cupcake Recipe
There are numerous ideas that you can use to decorate cupcakes in different ways. Here is a jam cupcake recipe to make at home.

Ingredients
  • Basic vanilla cupcake
  • Jam / jelly of your choice
  • Cupcake decorating bag / pen
Method of Preparation
  1. Fill your cupcake decorating bag or pen with jam or jelly of your choice.
  2. Now, take a plain basic cupcake and pierce into it with the pen from the top of the cake.
  3. Once inside, squeeze the pen so that the jam goes into the center of the cake. Now take the pen out.
  4. You can either decorate the cake with icing or frosting on the top or keep it as it is.
