There are numerous recipes for cinnamon rolls at sojourn. If you add fresh and quality ingredients, you will certainly be happy with the delicacies prepared in your kitchen. Here you will find a basic recipe that you can later change according to your taste, ie, add more or less sugar and cinnamon, or add some other ingredients of your choice, for example, vanilla.

So, here are basic ingredients. A pound of fine flour, two teaspoons of sugar, one of yeast, dry, if possible, and one of salt, maybe three deciliters milk, a nice pack of minced cinnamon, additional sugar for the filling, according to your taste, and additional butter for greasing pan and sprinkling the dough. And that's basically it.

Combine melted butter, warm milk and two teaspoons sugar, add a few tablespoons of flour and a spoon of dry yeast. Mix well together and let it rest in a warm place until it all rise. Then, add more flour and salt and make a dough. It should be soft but well formed. Add more flour if you think it is too soft.

Leave the dough somewhere in the warm place until the volume is doubled. Roll out the dough by forming a square. Sprinkle the dough with melted butter and sprinkle it thoroughly with sugar and ground cinnamon. Make a regular long roll. Divide it into two to three centimeters wide pieces. Place the pieces on baking paper on their sides, to see the pattern.

They need to double their volume first, and then you can place them into the preheated oven until they become golden. While they are in the oven, make the frosting. For this, you'll need some softened butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese, in equal amounts. If you keep butter at room temperature for a while, it should be soft enough for this purpose.

Mix the same amount of softened butter and powdered sugar, add the same amount of cream cheese and continue mixing. If necessary, you can add a spoonful of sweet cream to that mix. You need to get smooth and light cream that can be poured over your tasty rolls. If it is too thick, add more cream to it. If you want it to be sweeter, add equal amounts of sugar and cream.

Sprinkle your tasty rolls with cream, white and smooth as it is. These lovely rolls are the best when they are still warm, but they are really tasty even when they cool off. You can freeze the roasts, but do not sprinkle them with cream right away. Once you defrost them, you can place them in the microwave or simply in the preheated oven for a few minutes, and sprinkle with the frosting when warm.
