The most important basic need of man is food. Without this, a human being will not survive. Early civilization relied on fruits and vegetation as well as meat from animals. The discovery of cultivation and agriculture led to the planting of cereals which eventually became the main source of one of the most favorite nourishment that man has gotten used to. A long time ago when civilization was still starting to manifest, humans strolled in woods and vast places looking for sustenance. The discovered existence of cultivation developed cereal farming. This became an essential component in baking bread wherein precise processes is still the same as how it was made in the early times.

People learned to know how to discriminate tastes and satisfy the wants of their belly. This would not have been possible without the discovery of agriculture. Because of agriculture man learned how to bake one. The cultivation of land was one of the major breakthroughs in agricultural technology. This was further enhanced and developed when man learned how to tame fire.

There was that procedure where tamed beasts of burden were utilized and control so that grinding stones are dragged. This gave an effect of massive flour production. Few tools such as mortar and pestle were used to crush and grind grains into fine particles. The whole procedure alone produces flour which is the basic element of dough.

Another milestone occurred during the middle ages. This was the invention or the creation of windmills which harnessed the power of the wing to turn grinding stones which used to be done by animals. The windmill as the term implies resulted in growth of mills, a facility where grain was ground into flour. This was the beginning of flour mass production.

With the proper usage of equipment and methods in baking, there is a better and more innovative way of producing this food. Changing functions of modern technology helps the production to become more efficient, convenient, and progressive productivity which has caused a decrease of flour price. In this modern era, baking bread is indeed an outcome of technical modifications.

Back in the old days, ovens were made with flaming firewood as the source of heat. It was tough to control since it had no regulator. Whereas baking tools today with high technology are easy to manage and have heat controller. Flour as a chief element made human to start being creative in producing the item.

Every human being has different palates with regards to nourishment consumed. History says that the prime source of food of great advancement counted on it in order for people to survive and satisfy their needs. True enough, a lot of nations still depend on the existence of it, making it a huge contributor to the industry of food and drinks.

So long as people live on this planet, the need for food is ever present. Individual cultures, traditions, and beliefs have all embrace it as the main staple. Civilizations rose and fell because of this commodity. Nowadays unscrupulous persons in connivance with big agricultural industries have resulted in hoarding of this commodity which drives up the price. But there is no need to worry since big government is always on the lookout for food resource.
