Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 large can diced tomatoes
  • 2 packages chili seasoning
  • 1 can dark red kidney beans
  • 1 can light red kidney beans
  • 1 medium diced onion
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 can garbanzo (chickpeas beans)
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
Procedure
In a frying pan, saute diced onion and olive oil. After sauting, add the ground turkey along with brown sugar to the frying pan. Place the turkey and onion in a filter, so that the excess fat can be drained into the kitchen sink. Take the crock pot and pour tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chili seasoning and brown sugar. Also, pour in the kidney beans and garbanzo beans in the crock pot. Combine all these ingredients and stir well after adding the turkey and onion mixture to the crock pot. Cover the crock pot and cook the mixture at high temperature for 2-3 hours.

Spicy Lemon Crock Pot Chicken

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 Medium onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 4 boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 4 and teaspoon cornstarch
  • 4 and teaspoon cold water
  • Hot cooked noodles or rice
Procedure
Grease the crock pot with a butter flavored cooking spray. Add onion, water, oil, lemon juice, chicken and all other ingredients. Mix the chicken till it is coated with the seasoning. Cook the chicken in the crock pot for about 4-5 hours. The temperature of the chicken must be checked with a thermometer and should be 170 degrees Fahrenheit. After this, combine cornstarch and cold water in a separate cooking pan. Add the cooking juices from chicken in the cooking pan. Cook this mixture until it becomes thick. Add this to the chicken and noodles/rice and serve.
