Recipe 1: Crock-Pot

Ingredients
  • 4 pounds of bottom round roast
  • 6 sliced onions
  • 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
  • 1-2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup of water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Method of Preparation

First, you need to clean the roast and season it with salt and pepper. Next, place the sliced onions at the bottom of the Crock-Pot and place the seasoned roast on top of it. Add white vinegar and the bay leaves to the pot and cook at high heat until it simmers. Then turn the heat to low and simmer for 3-4 hours. After the prescribed time, take the roast out from the pot and place on a plate. Add the flour in water and pour it into the pot. Mix the roast drippings and the water together to form a gravy. Ingredients
  • 3-4 lbs of bottom round beef roast
  • 1 lb of onion
  • 2 lbs of potatoes
  • 1 lb carrot
  • 1/2 cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly ground pepper
Method of Preparation

Clean and season the bottom roast with salt and pepper. Place the seasoned roast in a slow cooker. Also slice and add vegetables like onion, potatoes and carrot to the cooker. Pout the Worcestershire and barbecue sauce on top of the roast. Cook on low settings for 7-8 hours. Take the roast out after a prescribed time. Serve hot with gravy made from the drippings of the roast.
