Easy Recipes for Making Tropical Drink

Mai Tai
Mai Tai is one of the most popular tropical alcoholic drinks. It has a history of more than 50 years! Many variations of this drinks are made nowadays. However, people claim that the latest version is not even nearby to the original recipe. The following Mai Tai recipe is one of the oldest one. This is one of the tropical mixed drink recipes.

Ingredients
  • Garnish: pineapple and cherry
  • 2 oz. dark rum
  • 1oz. orgeat syrup
  • 2 oz. light rum
  • 1 oz. grenadine
  • 2 oz. triple sec
  • 1 oz. lime juice
Process

Combine all the ingredients in a shaker, along with ice. In high ball or any of those old-fashioned glasses, serve this drink on the rocks. For garnishing, cut pineapple wedges and cherry. If you do not have Orgeat syrup, you can use store brought mix instead. It can also replace grenadine and the lime juice.

Tropical Storm Recipe
Tropical storm is an alcoholic tropical drink which is made of fruits like strawberries . This is also one of the tropical drink recipes with rum and bacardi.

Ingredients
  • 12 ounce of strawberry-kiwi fruit drink
  • 1 ounce spiced rum
  • 1 ounce bacardi
  • 1 ounce peach schnapps
Process

Add all the ingredients to a blender, along with a fist full of ice. Blend until thick. Your tropical storm is ready! Serving is as important as the drink, so serve in pink or similar frosted mugs with a dash of grenadine over the top. To make it more 'tropical' add a big strawberry and peeled kiwi fruit on top.

Blue Hawaiian
This is a cocktail made from pineapple juice, rum, blue curacao, etc.

Ingredients
  • 1 oz. cream of coconut
  • 1 slice pineapple
  • 1 oz. curacao, blue
  • 1 whole cherry/maraschinos
  • 1 oz. rum, light
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 oz. pineapple juice
Process

Mix all the ingredients in a stirrer or cocktail shaker. Pour it into an old-fashioned or unusual shaped glass and ice. For decorations, put the whole cherry along with the pineapple on top.

Lava Flow Recipe
Ingredients
  • 2 oz. fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. light rum
  • 1 oz. coconut rum
  • 2 oz. coconut cream
  • 1 small banana
  • 2 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
Process

Pour the two rums, strawberries and oz. of the coconut cream into a blender and blend until a smooth paste. When a paste is formed, pour it into a tall glass and rinse the blender. Now put the remaining coconut cream, banana and pineapple juice and crushed ice into the blender and blend until smooth. Pour this mixture into the glass. The effect will be like that of lava. The strawberry will rise upward flowing along the sides of the glass, just like a lava. For garnishing, use a pineapple wedge and the classic paper umbrella.
