Low Carb Bread Recipes


Losing weight is the toughest battle for many, despite hours of grueling exercise. Just as exercising is essential to being fit, diet is a crucial factor too. Low Card Bread

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flax seed meal
  • 5 beaten eggs
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar or artificial sweetener
  • cup water
  • cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
  • Before you start making the dough for the bread, set the oven at 350F or 175C.
  • In mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and whisk them with a beater. The mixture must become fluffy and soft in texture. Make sure all the ingredients are blended in well.
  • Now add the beaten eggs, oil and water to the mixture and whisk it once again. The batter has to be fluffy and soft, when you mix the wet ingredients too.
  • Now, let the batter sit for five minutes till it gets easy to spread in an even thickness.
  • Meanwhile, preparing a baking pan by spreading an oiled parchment on it.
  • Spread a thin layer of the dough on the baking pan and let it bake for 20 minutes. Allow the dough to spring back till it turn golden on the sides and brown on the top.
  • Remove from the oven, let the bread cool, before you cut it into slices.
Low Carb Muffin

Ingredients
  • 2 cups almond flour/almond meal
  • cup artificial sweetener
  • 4 eggs
  • cup water
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • cup butter, melted
Directions
  • Begin by preheating the oven at 350F or 175C.
  • Next, butter up muffin tins, which are of the same size.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix them well. Use a blender if needed.
  • Next, pour in the wet ingredients and mix everything well. The egg has to gel with all the ingredients. Once done, allow the dough to sit for five minutes.
  • Now, fill the dough in buttered muffin tins. Fill only half of the molds, because the dough is will rise as it begins to bake.
  • Bake it for about 15 minutes, till the dough rises and turns brown. Serve it hot with tea.
You can add a bowl of fresh blueberries, raspberries or blackberries to the muffins to give it the extra sweetness. Fresh berries are a good alternative to chocolate chips and other forms of artificial sugars. Low carb breads are excellent munchies for weight watchers and diabetics. Every time your feel a little hungry between the meals, add a lettuce leaf in between sprinkle some oregano and spread half a teaspoon of mayonnaise to have the perfect 4 'o' clock snack.
