Interestingly, the daily breakfast consumed by Brazilians is fairly simple and very much similar to an American breakfast. The Brazilians have coffee, bread, jam, sandwiches, cheese, for their breakfast. The coffee is usually consumed with milk and without cream. The milk is boiled and added to strong coffee; however, black coffee is also popular in some parts. Children usually have chocolate milk. The French style bread (known as the pao frances) is eaten with coffee. Along with this, cheese and ham sandwiches (known as Misto quente), bread and jam, crepe, is also consumed. The fuba cake (Bolo de fub) is also one of the popular breakfast dishes in Brazil. As fruits are found in abundance, breakfast is ended by a fruit plate or a fruit juice, with papaya being the most popular choice.
